WELCOME TO CAPTAIN RICK’S RETROROCKIT

Rick Bleiweiss has been a musician, songwriter, and GRAMMY-nominated record producer of over 50 singles and albums, and CAPTAIN RICK’S RETROROCKIT is his latest project.

With the resurgent popularity of 1960’s,1970’s and 1980’s pop and rock music, many listeners and music fans will really like the sound of Captain Rick’s RetroRockit. The songs and productions are throwbacks to the records of those eras, yet very fresh, filled with blazing guitars, hooky riffs, catchy choruses and fun lyrics.

The inspiration for Captain Rick’s RetroRockit’s music comes from a variety of sources, including The Beatles, Bon Jovi, Andrew Gold, Deep Purple, Eddie Cochran, Hall & Oates and other hit acts.

Captain Rick’s RetroRockit’s music is mostly all written and played by Rick and the vocals are sung by him, Jake Howard and William Ray. The music is uptempo and meant for people to dance to and to to enjoy themselves with.

Rick has also been a journalist, magazine and newspaper columnist, written books with humor, chapters in short story and non-fiction anthologies, and now two award winning novels. His books have won a New Apple Literary Prize for Excellence in Independent Publishing, a Bronze Medal from Reader’s Favorites, and three International Impact Awards. He also won a Career Changers Award.

The tab OTHER PRODUCTIONS has some of the records produced by Rick and his co-producer, Bill Stahl, including a record that sold over 500,000 copies, ones that were used by the NFL and the Harlem Globetrotters as musical beds, and another that was used for a number of years in a Coke commercial.

The EYE OF JUPITER is a science fiction rock opera Rick and Jack Climent co-wrote. The tracks are demos but some are really good.
